The Val d’Orcia is a land full of charm, flavors, fragrances, and colors.
Green expanses of vineyards, soft rolling hills, ancient villages, and castles and chapels, dominate the almost surreal landscape of this enchanting corner of paradise.
Traversed by the Orcia river, from which it takes its name, the Val d’Orcia is characterized by pleasant landscapes, and several medieval villages. This valley is also an important Natural, Artistic, and Cultural Park and, since 2004, has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
San Quirico d’Orcia, along with Pienza, Montalcino, Castiglione d’Orcia, and Radicofani, make up the Park, while other important centers include: Monticchiello, Bagno Vignoni, Rocca d’Orcia, Campiglia d’Orcia, Bagni San Filippo, and Vivo d’Orcia.
